I recently installed a plug-in so that I am able to separate discord, game, soundcloud etc audio tracks so that I have more control when editing.
I would have thought my voice chat would come through with my game audio track but it has not.
Note, default system device for playback is my Headset.
In game settings for game audio and voice chat have both been set to default system device.
Any ideas?

I ran into the EXACT same problem in the exact same order... I would appreciate any form of help! Changing the sources in-game didn't fix anything for me... Thanks!

I also have the same problem. From what I noticed the voice chat audio doesnt actually come through the (valorant for me) game audio it goes straight to the connected output device so in turn obs wont pick it up because (I assume) you turned off desktop audio which held the output device, So I haven't tested it yet but a possible solution could be (if you have an editing platform) to use advanced audio properties to seperate them into different tracks along with the desktop audio and try to extrapulate just the voice chat audio

You need to properly setup your audio sources in the preferences.
I use voicemeeter for this, and the audio sources looks like:
Desktop goes game / browser audio
Desktop 2 goes Discord
And for music I use Mic/Aux 4 wich I set up on windows itself, so I can send it to the VOD channel for Twitch.

yeah but what if you dont use voicemeeter? I dont. I seperated my audio directly in my scenes in obs with this addon.

Im having same issue game chat comes through fine with default desktop audio but not via this plug in. From what i can figure out there is 2 audio channels in warzone because you can mute them both separately vis f9/f10 keys so am guessing this plug in only pics up one channel
:(

have you tried voicemeter and have found a new Virtual cable
The Best Virtual Audio Cable ?
First of all I would like to say that I am not affiliated with the developer. I just want to draw your attention to this super program, as people often ask how other programs can be given a different track or how the mixing can be improved A friend of mine had a problem he wanted to send...

when you use this audio cable instead the other you can route more programs via the windows audio settings

ok, then the problem is in the plugin.
You must contact the plugin developer about the issue.

I have the same issue using the new Application Audio Recording (Beta) OBS Version 28.0.3.
It seems like warzone is somehow outputting the voice chat to a different channel.
If I capture the whole desktop audio it works fine, but I dont want spotify to be captured, so I need it to work...

OK, I have the same issue as everyone else I can be in-game and hear friends, teammates, and enemies but OBS would not record their audio. I don't know if it will work for you or for anyone using audiobananna but this is what I did.
I have about 5 sources on OBS right now for audio. I have game audio. mic audio. Music, discord, and yt. What I had to do for OBS to record my friend's and teammate's audio in-game was adding a new source called audio output capture. It worked like a charm I can now record all the angry cod kiddos when I kill them. I am guessing that MW2 splits the audio into two channels game audio and mic audio. Not exactly sure but it's now working for me.

Hi yes
I installed a vb-audio virtual cable and in the chat section on mw i set it to the virtual cable and then add that as i an audio input capture. I have it set to monitor and output in obs or otherwise I you can't hear the chat, but stream can and if obs not running you would have to reset it to hear the game chat
Let me know if it work or if you have a problem

I am having hard time understanding what exactly did you do with Vitual cable. I have it as well, but don't undesrtand how to do it, with having Discord, Game Audio, in-game voice chat, and my mic recorded all at the same time, seperate tracks.. Could you be able to hop in discord and maybe help me with that?
Hey I see you are using same Mic setup as me (Scarlett).. Have you figured out getting your Mic to record in Stereo (both left and right)? I have to turn it into mono, because each input counts it as one side of the input.. so if i plug the mic into right input, it only records right side, same for the left. Have you figured it out?
Cheers,
Bruno

mine is happing in mw2 the mic cuts' out as soon as the game starts, the things is it works perfectly before the game starts like the actual match in the lobby it records and everything but in game play it f*cks my mic off, i blame the developers this game is such piece of sh*t man.

Not sure how you fixed it? I’ve been dealing with it for a while now trying to fix it

I haven’t been able to add you on discord, when I click the audio input like you said it brings up the mics I have. Not the virtual cable

Also having issues with this. I've downloaded the vb-audio and set my obs to capture cable output and set my COD to have chat on same channel. In my recordings after a game I can hear game chat normal but I can not hear it during the game in my headset. Any thoughts?
